Elizabeth DuBois, DNP, MSN, FNP-BC, AAHIVS

Principal

Elizabeth DuBois, DNP, FNP-BC, AAHIVS is Principal at COPE Health Solutions. She has deep expertise in the areas of clinical workforce development and engagement, leadership and management, care redesign, care coordination, operations efficiency, strategic planning, physician alignment and population health solutions. Dr. DuBois’ unique blend of experience with federal qualified health centers (FQHCs), as well as hospitals and health systems brings added value for clients to whom she provides advisory services.

Prior to COPE Health Solutions, Dr. DuBois was Deputy Chief Medical Officer at Community Healthcare Network (CHN), a large federally qualified health center in New York City, serving 85,000 individuals a year. In this role, she oversaw new initiatives, program development and the clinical operations of medical affairs. She was responsible for the management of over 300 staff, including primary care medical providers, nursing and laboratory departments. While at CHN, Dr. DuBois started the first primary care and community psychiatric nurse practitioner (NP) fellowships in New York State. These 12-month post-graduate training programs help transition nurse practitioners for primary care in medically underserved areas. She served as the clinical lead for grants and development, including leading a grant from New York State Health Foundation studying workforce practices across New York State. Dr. DuBois was also a member of the care models committee for the NYC Health+Hospitals’ One City Health PPS – the largest DSRIP performing entity in New York State – and maintained a practice serving patients for adult, pediatric, gynecological and HIV care.

Dr. DuBois has also worked at medical systems throughout New York City including: Long Island College Hospital Emergency Department, New York Presbyterian Hospital and St. Vincent’s Hospital, in both clinical and administrative roles. She has also served as clinical instructor for the nurse practitioner programs (both Masters and Doctorates) at Yale University, Columbia University, New York University, University of Pennsylvania, and Hunter College. Dr. DuBois completed her bachelor of science in Nursing at Arizona State University, and her masters of science in Nursing at Columbia University while a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the nursing honors society. She completed her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Yale University. In 2015, she received the New York University Family NP Preceptor of the year award. In 2017 she received the Catherine Abate Memorial Award from the Community Healthcare Association of New York for her dedication to protecting the rights and dignity of the underserved.

Dr. DuBois currently serves as a Board of Director for Prolacta Bioscience Foundation and as an Advisory Board Member for the Visiting Nurse Service of New York Care Management Organization. She also holds a courtesy appointment at the NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing.
